Google Nexus 7 and Nexus Q

Announced at Google's I/O keynote, the Nexus 7 will ship in 8GB and 16GB versions priced ta $199 and $249 respectively.

The tablet, featuring Android's Jelly Bean is powered by a quad-core Tegra 3 processor.

The Nexus 7 tablet sports a 7-inch backlit IPS HD display with a 1280x800 resolution coated with scratch resistant Corning glass.

The device has a 1.2MP front facing camera and comes with a 4325mAH battery. It also boasts NFC capabilities amongst other connectivity features like Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

The Nexus 7 gives you access to the world's largest collection of ebooks with over 4 million books to choose from. You can personalise your reading experience by adjusting the font, switching to day or nighttime modes and much more.

The Nexus Q is a home entertainment that sends content from your personal collection or YouTube to your existing TV and speaker systems.

Termed as the world's first "social streaming device" by Google, the Nexus Q will be available in July in the U.S for $299.

Nexus Q has an audiophile-grade amplifier built in so you can hook your speakers right up, or use an optical or HDMI cable to connect Nexus Q to your AV receiver or HDTV.

You can choose a song from the Google Play Music app on your phone or tablet and play it instantly on Nexus Q.

The player also comes with 32 LEDs arranged in a ring that shift and change color in time to your music. There's also an RGB LED mute indicator.

You can use your Android phone or tablet to search for a specific video or explore a category to find something new. Sign in to play favorites, subscriptions, and playlists in your YouTube account.

Nexus Q streams your favorite entertainment directly from the cloud to your living room through the Google Play and YouTube apps on your Android phone or tablet.

You can connect multiple Nexus Qs to play content from within Google Play apps or YouTube.

On 31 July 2012, Google said that it was "indefinitely delaying" the Nexus Q. It offered a "preview version" of the streaming device for free to anyone who had pre-ordered the unit.
