Tom claimed to have been blindsided by wife of five years Katie who filed for divorce on June 29, 2012 citing “irreconciliable differences.” Katie reportedly felt life with controlling Tom was turning her into a “robot” and that the relationship was becoming “too much.”

Tom Cruise and Katie married in 2006. They have a six year old daughter together, Suri, who is photographed and written about as much as her famous parents. Despite reports of Tom preparing to snap ties with Scientology in the hope of winning Katie back, the divorce was finalized on July 10, 2012.
