The movie has been written, directed and co-produced by Kamal Haasan himself.
Kamal with co-stars Pooja Kumar and Shekhar Kapur in a still from the movie. Shekhar Kapoor will be seen in a guest appearance in the film.
Apart from directing and co-producing the film, Mr Haasan will also be playing the lead in the movie.
The film will be released in Hindi as Vishwaroop.
The movie is touted as Kamal Haasan's biggest project till date.
The music for the film is composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, with lyrics by Vairamuthu for the Tamil version and Javed Akhtar for the Hindi version.
Former Miss India USA Pooja Kumar will be seen playing the role of Dr Nirupama in the film.
Pooja has appeared in small roles in films like Kaadhal Rojave, Night of Henna, Flavors, Hiding Divya, Park Sharks, Bollywood Beats, Anything For You and Anjaana Anjaani.
Kamal Haasan's character in the film is also a kathak dancer.
