Debutant director Prakash Tholeti's upcoming Telugu movie Naa Ishtam has completed its entire shooting and is currently in preproduction stage.

Naa Ishtam is a romantic-comedy about a self-centred boy, Ganesh (Rana Daggubati) and a happy-go-lucky girl, Krishnaveni (Genelia D'Souza).
Genelia's character Krishnaveni runs away from home and comes to Malaysia to marry her lover Kishore (Harshvardhan Rane).
Kishore fails to turn up at the temple and a heart-broken Krishnaveni wanders around the city. She ends up in a “red-light” area where Ganesh comes to her rescue and saves her from the local goons.
Ganesh takes Krishnaveni back to India where he finds out that her marriage has been arranged with a much older man. Therefore, they flee to Kuala Lumpur.
Gradually, Ganesh falls in love with Krishnaveni but before he can express his love, Kishore turns up and asks Krishnaveni to marry her.
Genelia D'Souza puts up a good act as therunaway bride.
Unlike her previous roles, Genelia's character is sober and mature.
Rana Daggubati fits the role well but needs to brush-up his acting.
Rana Daggubati's comedy is bang on though he is a good dancer.
Debutant director Prakash Tholeti does not offer anything new. The storyline is predictable and fails to engage the audience.
What works best for the film is the lead pair - Rana Daggubati and Genelia D'Souza.
The other actors are good too.
The film has a good beginning but soon loses momentum.
Bollywood singers Kunal Ganjawala and Shaan and music by Chakri is soulful and melodious.
The cinematographer, Venkat Prasad, has done a good job capturing the beautiful locales of Kuala Lumpur.
