Bol Bachchan, one of the most talked about projects of 2012, is an action packed comedy film.
The film marks the return of the Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn combo, who belted out blockbusters like Golmaal series and Singham.
It was megastar Amitabh Bachchan's first shoot after his surgery. He shot a cameo, a song, with his son Abhishek and Ajay, which was choreographed by Chinni Prakash.
Amitabh Bachchan will be reprising the famous entry scene from My name is Anthony Gonsalves song where he emerges from a giant Easter egg in title track of the movie.
The shoot made Mr. Bachchan nostalgic and he tweeted: 'Nostalgia at shoot .. coming out of egg ( easter egg in AAA ) and Abhishek dancing with me .. in AAA he
had come to set in a pram !!'
Amitabh Bachchan has reportedly lent his voice to the title track of the movie that has been composed by Himesh Reshammiya.
Abhishek Bachchan will be seen in his first double role in the movie, which is said to be inspired by 1979 classic Golmaal.
Asin Thottumkal and Prachi Desai will be playing the female leads in the movie.
According to reports Ajay Devgn, who plays the role of a wrestler in the movie, showed off by lifting the real ballam on the sets of Bol Bachchan. He insisted on using it to lend authenticity to his character.
According ro reports, Genelia D'Souza was first signed to play the lead opposite Abhishek Bachchan, but opted out due to creative differences and the role was offered to Prachi Desai, who was last seen in Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai.
Director Rohit Shetty said, " After Singham, I wanted to do a light-hearted comedy. There are lots of characters in the film, and though it has comedy in it, it's more of a family entertainer with drama, action and emotions. We have taken the basic idea from Hrithikesh Mukherjee's Gol Maal after taking the rights, and the rest is completely different".
Bol Bachchan, whose theatrical rights have been sold to Fox Star Studios for Rs 94 crores, is going to release on July 6.
