Science fiction film Oblivion also stars Bond girl Olga Kurylenko who played Bolivian agent Camilla in Quantum Of Solace.

In Oblivion, Tom plays Marine commander Jack Harper, one of the last men on an Earth all but destroyed by an alien invasion. The film is out on April 19.

In Dublin, Tom also received a certificate of Irishness from the Department of Foreign Affairs. The Hollywood star has Irish roots and research revealed that an ancestor was responsible for restoring evicted farmers to their land just before the Great Famine of Ireland in 1845.
