Charmi is known for her female-oriented films such as Mantra and Mangala.
Nagaram Nidra Potunna Vela has been directed by Premraj and produced by Nandi Sri Hari.
Charmi plays the role of a journalist in the suspense thriller.
The lip-lock between Jagapathibabu and Charmi is an instant attention-grabber.
According to reports, 90 per cent of the film has been shot at night.
Vaadu Veedu starring Vishal, Arya, Madhu Shalini and Janani Iyer is also releasing on June 17.
Both Telugu and Tamil versions will release together.
The film's main lead Vishal says he shot for almost 220 days for the film.
Vishal plays a character with squint-eyes. It's the first time that an actor has had to squint right through a film and its makers are in the process of applying to the Guinness World Records.
The film has been directed by Bala, who has made films such as Pithamaghan and Naan Kadavul.
