Ajay Devgn had to make a few changes in the film when the Punjabi Cultural Heritage Board raised objections over certain scenes and dialogues after the release of the film's trailer.
The story of Son Of Sardaar is set in rural Punjab and revolves around a Sikh boy, Jassi (played by Ajay Devgn).

Actors Ajay Devgn and Sonakshi Sinha were honoured at the Walk of the Stars in Mumbai.
The actors unveiled tiles bearing their respective hand-prints which were installed at the Bandra Bandstand promenade in Mumbai.
Sonakshi said, "I think it's a wonderful initiative. This is a new thing that has started in our country. Entertainment is such a huge part of our lives and all such things bring us closer to our fans."
Joining the festive fervour, Ajay and Sonakshi were seen enjoying a bhangra performance.
