2013 hall of fame: Top 10 outfits Bollywood stars wore

They came, they wore, they conquered. As 2013 draws to a close, we bring to you our 10 favourite outfits worn by Bollywood actresses this year.

This stunning black lace Elie Saab that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan wore to the screening of the film Inside Llewyn Davis at the Cannes festival in May this year ranks first on our list. Ash's other fashion misses on the red carpet were completely eclipsed by the success of this dress.

The black cut-out Prabal Gurung dress that Deepika Padukone wore to the Filmfare Awards held in January in Mumbai was our second favourite. The peekaboo back meant she was pretty coming and going.

Sonam Kapoor's Anamika Khanna vintage-look sari, which she wore to the opening ceremony of the Cannes Film Festival this year, is number three. The trailing art deco-effect jacket and outsized nose-ring elevated the outfit from ‘pretty white sari' to something really special.

At fourth place is Deepika again, this time in a a Naeem Khan dress featuring a glittering bodice that few other than The Dimpled One could have carried off. Deepika wore this at the launch of the music of her movie Chennai Express in July.

At the Lakme Fashion Week held in Mumbai in August, Kareena Kapoor stole the thunder from the models on the ramp in lemon yellow Osman. She wore no accessories and kept her make-up muted and hair severe, letting the dress be the showpiece.

Style maverick Sonam Kapoor stood out in an Atsu creation with a black lace bodice and a bold printed skirt at the L'Oreal Femina Women Awards held in Mumbai in March.

Desi girl Sridevi was a Roop Ki Rani in an embellished red and black Sabyasachi ensemble at the Guild Awards held in Mumbai in February.

Priyanka Chopra was a vision in a white Christian Dior dress at the announcement of nominations for the Filmfare Awards in January in Mumbai. The Jimmy Choo glitter clutch earned her extra fashion points.

At ninth place is the hot pink fit-and-flare dress Katrina Kaif wore to the launch of the title song of her upcoming movie Dhoom: 3 in Mumbai in November.

Kangana Ranaut proved chic doesn't require a high-octane red carpet dress in a white and silver striped Stella McCartney shirt and black pants at a special screening of the movie Gori Tere Pyaar Mein in Mumbai in November.
