Business magazine Forbes has come out with a list of the Asia's 50 most powerful busniesswomen this year. It's no surprise that several Indians have found their place in the rankings. Here is a a look at them.

ICICI Bank CEO and MD Chanda Kochhar,50, has found a place in the coveted rankings. It's no surprise that she was ranked 5th in the International list of "50 Most Powerful Women In Business", by Fortune in 2011.

Ms Kochhar was also named among the "50 Most Influential People", in global finance, by Bloomberg Markets magazine in the same year.

Axis BANK CEO and MD Shikha Sharma,53, also appears in the prestigious list. Before her stint at Axis Bank, Shikha was associated with ICICI Bank.

Media mogul Shobhana Bhartia, 55, has also been placed by Forbes in its coveted list. She is the chairperson and editorial director of HT Media and a nominated member of the Rajya Sabha.

Ekta Kapoor, 36, is the youngest on the list who as a TV and movie producer is lighting a fire under Bollywood, Forbes says.

Chairman of Tractors & Farm Equipment Mallika Srinivasan, 52 years is also in the list. She has a graduate MBA from The Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania, and an MA in Econometrics from the University of Madras.

Biocon founder Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, 59, also makes it to the Forbes list. The bio-tech entrepreneur has also been felicitated with Padmashri (1989) and Padma Bhushan (2005) besides other prestigious awards.

Vinita Bali, Managing Director, Britannia Industries, is also on the list for her leadership, ideas and intellect.
