Patna: Various women's social organisations and clubs of Patna today burnt Chinese products as a mark of protest and took a pledge not to use them for its unstinted support to Pakistan.

"We believe that awareness should be created from home and hence we women collectively took to the streets today to oppose Chinese products. We have decided to boycott Chinese products," Shalini Vaishkiyar, President of Lions Club of Patna Senorita, said.

"Country's interest is first and foremost and that's why we took a pledge not to use Chinese products from today onwards and also appeal people not to use Chinese products this Diwali, the time when the Communist country's products witness a steep rise in sales every year," Ms Vaishkiyar said.

Instead, people should use Indian products to promote indigenous entrepreneurs and make the country a self-reliant so that country's money should remain in the country, Anu Gandhi, another member of Lions Club of Patna, said.
