Are Orissa tribals winning their battle against Vedanta?

A top government panel has said no to the controversial Vedanta mining project in Orissa, which had come under a cloud over environmental clearances. The panel said forest land can't be diverted unless gram sabhas clear the proposal. The panel was inquiring into violations of forest rights of local tribals by Vedanta's Niyamgiri project in Orissa.
