Over 60,000 migrant workers register with Kerala police

A total of 63,200 labourers from other states have registered with police in Kerala as per the new guidelines issued by government, Home Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan told the state assembly today. The registration had been made mandatory for migrant workers with a view to initiating certain welfare schemes and also to have a check on their whereabouts.
