BJP's SS Ahluwalia says 'horse-trading' behind Rajya Sabha defeat in Jharkhand
After losing the Rajya Sabha election in Jharkhand, senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader SS Ahluwalia on Thursday blamed his defeat on "horse trading." The Congress and the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) won a Rajya Sabha seat each from Jharkhand, while the ruling BJP faced a humiliating defeat in the elections for two seats from the state. Mr Ahluwalia finished third with 20 votes while Congress' Pradip Kumar Balmuchu secured 25 votes. The JMM's Sanjeev Kumar bagged 23.
