No Question Of Ghar Wapasi, Says Nitish Kumar For BJP

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said that the 'Grand Alliance' of his Janata Dal (United) with one-time rival Rashtriya Janata Dal and Congress will remain all five years of the term. "There is no question of joining the BJP. My support for demonetisation should not be interpreted politically," he said, speaking at the 2016 Hindustan Times Leadership Summit.

I don't need to give response to such stuff. Look at my work. I am supporting the demonetisation drive. Bihar is the first state that passed a law to confiscate of public servants' property.

Prevention of Corruption Act is a central law. We got a state amendment to it. It took 10 months to get approval from the UPA government, which was at the centre at that time. We immediately got into action and confiscated the assets of corrupt public servants. We have confiscated houses of a senior IAS officer and an ex-DGP. We have always supported move against corruption

"A person who has no role in the Grand Alliance, what importance does he have? What impact did (people like Shahabuddin) have on my governance," he asks

I did a surprise drug test on all 4 lakh police applicants. Only 1.62 per cent tested positive that is half the national average. Punjab has been defamed unfairly. Media has defamed Punjab. Out of 12,000 army recruits tested only 10 tested positive.

After cash ban, there wont be the same level of paper currency: Arun Jaitley

You will take the country further towards digital currency. That is already happening. Volume of formal trade, volume of business will grow but paper currency will shrink.

The balance will be replaced by debit cards, e-wallets.

You have several lakhs points of exchange which are there. Therefore, not only must there be readiness in terms of printing, but it must reach the points and ready for redistribution. So you can understand the enormity. And there must be secrecy and information served on a need to know basis.
