Panaji: Sex racket busted, minor Nepali girl including others rescued

Panaji: Cracking a sex racket in Goa, police arrested two persons and rescued four girls including a minor Nepali girl from Dona Paula locality near Panaji.

The police arrested Nandish Gawda (Bangalore) and Hanumant Patil (Rajasthan) who had brought these girls from Mumbai and a girl from Nepal in Goa for sex trade.

Police Inspector Sandesh Chodankar said that the racket was operating from the neighbouring Dona Paula locality.

Police laid a trap and sent a decoy customer to nab the accused, who had brought these girls via Bangalore to Goa.

The girls in their statements have said that they were promised good jobs in Goa but were pushed into flesh trade.

Both the accused were presented before Judicial Magistrate First Class, Panaji, on Sunday who remanded them to one-day police custody.
