Jaipur: A 25-year-old aspirant of the state-level Patwari (Preliminary) examination was killed after he allegedly jumped off a moving train at Ajmer station, police said today.

Shankar Dayal, a resident of Surajpole in Jaipur, was travelling to his examination centre in Kishangarh when he hurriedly jumped off the jam-packed train before it came to a complete halt at the station yesterday morning.

The victim lost both legs in the accident and later succumbed to his injuries at Ajmer's JLN Hospital late last evening, police said.

His body was handed over to relatives after a post-mortem examination, they said.

Meanwhile a state government spokesperson said 81 per cent of the 8.18 lakh contestants appeared for the exam conducted by the Rajasthan State Ministerial Subordinate Service Board (RSMSSB) at 2789 centres in 33 districts yesterday.

The exam was conducted peacefully under police security in the state and rumours of paper leak are false, RSMSSB Chairman, R K Meena said.

Thirteen fake candidates appearing in place of other aspirants were arrested in Jaipur, Udaipur, Bharatpur, Hindon, Sawaimadhopur and Jodhpur, the spokesperson said.
