Vadodara: A three-year-old male leopard died after being hit by a speeding vehicle near Bhai Darvaja in the neighbouring Dahod district, about 140 kms from Vadodara, a forest officer said.
"The leopard died on the spot after being hit by a speeding vehicle in a forest area on the outskirts of Devgadh Bariya in neighbouring Dohad district. The incident took place last night," AA Makrani, Range Forest Officer of Devgadh Bariya town said today.
After the local residents informed the forest department, the carcass was taken to a nursery located at Dangarwada and a post-mortem was conducted.
Further investigation is on.
