Bhagalpur:
A drunken policeman today fired 10 rounds in the air from his service rifle at a public place at Nathnagar block in Bihar's Bhagalpur district, police said.
The policeman, identified as Arvind Kumar, started firing indiscriminately in the air in an inebriated condition without any provocation, Superintendent of Police (SP) Sanjay Singh said.
Kumar was later overpowered by other policemen and sent to jail after registration of an FIR against him, he said.
No one was injured.
