| Modern wrestling is divided into two styles: freestyle and greco-roman.In the greco-roman style, holds are allowed from the waist up, while in free style holds are allowed on the whole body. Matches in both styles consist of two, three-minute parts, with a 30 second interval. Each wrestler attempts to win over his adversary, either by holding both shoulders on the ground (fall) long enough to be in control. Pinning the opponent to the floor automatically ends the match. Wrestlers can also win by taking a ten-point lead (technical superiority) through a variety of holds and moves, or by finishing with more points. More |
