Using Bottles and Plates as Drum Kit, This Child Prodigy Makes Music You Have to Hear

Using Bottles and Plates as Drum Kit, This Child Prodigy Makes Music You Have to Hear

Screengrab from Marvin Coronel's Facebook video

Prodigies need no silver spoons, and this boy who we've been unable to identify as yet is most definitely one. He has neither an expensive drum kit, nor a highly paid music teacher at a swanky suburban music school. What he has, though, is a cleverly put together set of drums which is the epitome of 'jugaad'.

Out of upturned plates, empty steel bottles, plastic paint containers, this unknown and un-named boy produces music that could easily become the background score of a dance film.

Of course, naysayers will tell you that India has plenty of such, or better, talent that's hiding under the obscurity of faraway villages or slums with no one to record their 'performances'. While this is true, whenever we get the opportunity to share the amazing raw talent this country produces, we most definitely shall.

This video was shared by DJ Marvin Coronel on his Facebook page a few months ago and has over 90k shares.
