It's not often you hear a story like this, but 60-year-old Californian Deborah Miller travelled all the way to India to attend her 'Facebook son' Krishna Mohan Tripathi's wedding in Gorakhpur.

The two 'met' each other on Facebook some four years ago. Krishna, 28, had lost his mother when he was a teen and began talking to Ms Miller about his life. Having no children of her own, Ms Miller, in turn offered him emotional support and the two formed an unexpected bond.

So when Krishna invited his 'Facebook mother' to his wedding on January 29, she couldn't refuse. "He's been planning this for a long time, and so have I," Deborah Miller says in a video posted on YouTube by news agency ANI.

Ms Miller, dressed in a traditional red and yellow sari, enjoyed participating in Krishna's wedding rituals. "I don't have words to describe how well I've been treated," she says in the video, visibly overwhelmed. "I'm so happy to be here. My heart feels like it's so big and will explode," she adds, breaking down.

According to reports, Ms Miller gifted Krishna and his wife jewellery worth almost Rs 25 lakh and a 125-year-old ring she picked up at an auction house in Britain, in addition to her blessings, of course. "Mom has invited us to America and soon we will go there," Krishna told Daily Mail.

That's one story Facebook should be very proud of.
