If there's one thing that stands out in this story of a working mum, it's probably that no one should ever underestimate the strength of a woman, especially a mother. This post about a child bride's journey to becoming a responsible woman, then mother, is all kinds of inspiring.

Shared on the Humans of Bombay Facebook page some 16 hours ago, the story details the life a Mumbai woman who had to drop out of school in Class VII and was eventually married off at the age of 14 to a boy, who was 16-years-old at the time.

"Even though we were both children, the responsibility on us was immense - my father-in-law was no more and my husband's brother passed away in a train accident, leaving behind his wife and two children who were to be looked after as well," says the woman, not named, on Facebook. So only a year after being married, she began collecting trash from people's houses to make some money, a job that paid her decently well and helped her find more work opportunities.

"I became a mother after a few years and I wondered how I would tell my children that this is how I earn my money," says the woman on Facebook. However, all her reservations were cleared when she managed to pay the fee for her children's education.

And if that was still not enough, this little gesture by her son cleared the way for any further doubt. "My younger son recently wrote an essay on me for his class. It was called, 'My Mother Keeps India Clean'- I didn't understand a lot of it but it was enough just to know that he wrote about me...I'm a happy mother."
