Dehradun:
A man allegedly killed his wife in a fit of rage when he found that the vegetable dish served to him in his meal did not have tomatoes in it, police said today.
The incident occurred last night in Lachman Jhula area near Rishikesh, they said.
The man, a night watchman, has confessed to his crime and sent to jail under charges of murder, they said.
The accused told the police that he smashed his wife Prabha Devi's head against the wall on Sunday night when he found there were no tomatoes in the vegetable dish served to him in his meal. It led to the 30-year-old woman's death.
