Has anyone heard of Archie Andrews? Of course, everyone has! What a question to ask, eh! Right, now the second question - do you know that he is about to get married? "What?" Is that what I heard you say? Well, actually you heard that right! He is actually, really, finally and ultimately getting married! It's been 68 years and what a wait it's been! Yes, for 68 years he kept not one, but two ravishing beauties, Betty and Veronica waiting and guessing...but now, he actually is going to propose to one of them. That is what the upcoming issue of Archie Comics promises!
The triangle will finally cease to exist! It's no longer going to be "a little bit of Veronica all my life, and a little of Betty by my side!" (No this song is no longer applicable here!)
History has it, that no one has been left unscathed from that inexplicable, strange and wonderful feeling called 'love' - Archie is hardly an exception! Archie Comics' official blog confirmed this news - surprising, stunning, shocking as it may sound - but it's true, swear to God, it's true!
As the story goes, Archie has graduated from Riverdale School High School; he is five years older and a college graduate. And he has every possibility of getting a job when he gets engaged. And that's where one gets stuck. Who is it going to be? Will it be the not-so-privileged simple girl-next-door, Betty Cooper or the one adorned with abundance and opulence, Veronica Lodge? And who will the best man be? Would it be Reggie or Jughead? No one's opening their mouths? Oof! This curiosity is killing! Tch tch! But not so soon... say the guys at Archie Comics! "We have some questions for you," they say! (Whoa! Didn't the guessing part need enough brains?).
So here's something to get those grey cells finally activated (for here are the questions):
"Now make way for this special story that takes a look at Archie and his friends after they graduate college! What careers will they seek? Will the friends stay in Riverdale or disperse? What would lead Archie to have marriage on his mind? And who would he choose, Veronica or Betty? How will Betty react? How will Veronica react?"
So, do you have the answers for these? No, not yet? Well, keep thinking... that's certainly food for thought.
In his own blog, Archie says - "Jughead thinks I should flip a coin to finally choose between Betty and Veronica. Do you think this is a good idea? -Arch."
Well, do you think that is a good idea? Naaaaa....surely there's a better way to make the choice of your life Arch! Grow up! What are you thinking? Oh! Shut up! (That's what I said to myself!) Let my voice drown for now, drown into oblivion! For now, it's time to think...who's it gonna be? Betty or Veronica? Mmmmmm....
