All Boman Kohinoor, the 93-year-old owner of Mumbai's iconic Britannia restaurant, wanted was to meet Prince William and Kate Middleton when they stopped by Mumbai on their first ever visit to India. And Mr Kohinoor was in the very best of luck - here he is with Will and Kate, courtesy the Taj Palace Hotel's chief concierge.

It was the next best thing to having Will and Kate visit him at Britannia and sample some of his famous berry pulav and salli boti. As the pictures in the tweet above show, Mr Kohinoor said it with flowers.

"I met Their Royal Highnesses this evening at the Taj. They were very kind and asked me about my restaurant and my favourite dishes there," Mr Kohinoor told Conde Nast Traveller. "I told them: give my love to the Queen, and to [your] children Prince George and Princess Charlotte, too. I wish I had more time to speak, but I'm thankful for this opportunity," he added.

On Friday, Mr Kohinoor won the Internet's collective heart by telling Conde Nast Traveller that he was the British Royal Family's oldest and biggest fan. In 2010, he wrote to Queen Elizabeth II asking her to visit. She wrote back to thank him, on letterhead stamped with the Windsor crest. His prized memorabilia also includes a photo of the Queen, a Union Jack and a cut-out of Will and Kate, all of which decorate Britannia.

Today, Boman Kohinoor is one very happy man. With or without the berry pulav.

Take a look at his invite to Will and Kate from last week:
