CCTV footage shows how the accident took place
It may seem like a harmless thing to do, but let this video be a warning for everyone who has ever wanted to ride a bicycle up an escalator. An 11-year-old boy in Shenzhen, China, decided to ride his bicycle up an escalator, but the stunt went horribly wrong. Frightening CCTV footage, just over a minute long, shows the boy first riding an escalator while seated on his bike without any incident. However, during his second ride, video captured shows how a freak accident took place when the boy lost his balance and fell down the escalator along with his bike.
Fortunately, according to the Shanghaiist, the boy is now fine and managed to escape with only an injury to the neck that required stitches.
