Firefighter Eats Giant Bowl of Noodles, To Instant Social Media Fame

Thought carbs were bad for you? Looking at this young and extremely fit firefighter's pictures may make you think otherwise.

Pictures of Bu Wenming from China are currently going viral. In the photos, he polishes off a giant bowl of instant noodles - enough noodles to feed at least three or four people.

A post shared on Facebook by CCTVNews, among other versions being circulated, holds the evidence.
 

If you're wondering just how hungry he could have been to attack and destroy a bowl of noodles that large, here's the back story.

After completing a rescue mission, a group of firefighters, including Mr Wenming, returned to their base at 2 am and the large bowl of instant noodles was cooked to feed them.
 

Still hungry after finishing his own bowl, the firefighter noticed the large bowl with the leftovers and fell upon it.
 

That's all, no big deal - only, some of his colleagues clicked pictures and posted them on social media, making Mr Wenming an online sensation.

The firefighter justified his huge appetite by explaining that his line of work involves long and grueling hours of rescue missions and trainings. In fact, before this 'event,' he had been working for two days straight without any breaks. He also mentioned that firefighters have to wear protective gear weighing over 15 kgs.
