Blame it on Victoria Beckham, Undisputed Queen of Awkwardness

Too posh to push and apparently too posh to smile as well. Even when she was a member of the supremely popular (and now broken up) girl-band Spice Girls, Victoria Beckham wasn't exactly fond of smiling. Rather, it was an anomaly to see her smile. In fact some believe that every time the world has seen an image of Victoria smiling, a unicorn has taken birth in Scotland (Yes, yes. Scotland's national animal is indeed the mythical unicorn).

This former pop star cum fashion designer cum wife of the drool-worthy David Beckham, is now seen very frequently attending fashion shows and award functions (and royal weddings) and sporting events. And she attends all of these with the same level of enthusiasm we see in wax statues (she has one of those too at Madam Tussaud's). So much joy. So much poise. And as seen in the case of the recent Wimbledon Men's Final, so much awkwardness.

For those not in the know, she was seated next to the Samuel L Jackson and this GIF of them together is by far the most awkward thing we've seen this year.

However, let's not assume that this has anything to do with Samuel L Jackson, who is the King of all Things Amazing. Victoria, it seems, is just awkward and miserable in general.

No seriously. Look:

1. Not sure who looks more miserable. That giant polar/teddy bear or Victoria. *awkward silence*

2. Ummm. Usually when celebrities meet their fans, they smile and give them autographs and pose with them. Here however, she chose to pose alone. And look miserable while doing so. *more awkward silence*

3. Okay. No doubts about this one. The baby in her arms definitely looks more miserable. Somebody make this woman smile. Please.

4. The drop-dead gorgoeus David Beckham, smiling for the shutterbugs. And her. Sniffing his bow tie. What do we even... *the most awkward silence yet*
