10 Awesome Govinda Roles, From Superman to Animal Whisperer

10 Awesome Govinda Roles, From Superman to Animal Whisperer
Those still unaware of the jaw-dropping awesomenessness that is a Govinda film, we'd like you to know that we judge you and shall continue to do so till the end of time.

However those not from an alien planet will have hopefully not forgotten his impeccable comic timing, his shockingly wide range of expressions and his one-of-a-kind dancing that's guaranteed to make you smile. Although his last film as lead actor, Life Partner (2009), fetched him an IIFA nomination for Best Actor in a Comic Role, this movie is a far cry from what Chi Chi is known for: pure entertainment. This is the man who's been in showbiz for almost 30 years and has donned so many hats, it is difficult to keep track of all of them.

Sometimes the hero, sometimes the simpleton, sometimes the crook, sometimes the savior, once Superman himself and once an animal whisperer:  always the star! Nobody, absolutely nobody can accuse Govinda of not being versatile.

Here's a list of 10 movies, jotted according to their degree of brilliance:

1. The rich man who willingly became the house help - Hero No. 1

2. The naughty gaon ka gora who had shades of Michael Jackson in him - Raja Babu

3. The house help who became a filmstar - Swarg

4. The coolie who was the coolest coolie ever- Coolie no 1

5. The tour guide who attracted beautiful women like a flower attracts bees - Albela

6. The con man whose doppelganger was a policeman. Yes, this movie is worth it's weight in gold - Bade Miyan Chote Miyan

7. The man who fell in love a little too often - Sajan Chale Sasural

8. The drag king. And, no, there can be no other description for this film. - Aunty No 1

9. The animal whisperer who could put Dr Dolittle to shame. Why? Because Govinda's Maharaja could control animals with his eyes. HIS EYES ONLY. Wow - Maharaja

10. Superman. Because, Superman! Watch out for his and Kimi's awkward mid-air moonwalk. Okay, sort of moonwalk - Dariya Dil

As his movie releases today, we hope he rocks just as much in a negative role in Kill Dil as he does in everything else. All the best Chi Chi!
