Leaked photos of William-Kate's honeymoon cause controversy
London: Intimate pictures of Prince Williamand Kate Middleton on their honeymoon have been made public byan Australian magazine, causing outrage in the Britishroyal family.

When the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge jetted off ontheir 10-day romantic break to the Seychelles last year, therewas an unofficial agreement among news organisations that theywouldn't print or publish photos of them.

But now, more than a year later, Australian magazineWoman's Day, has decided to splash unauthorised photos acrossits July 16 edition. The front cover will show the royal couple walkinghand-in-hand along a beach, the Daily Mail reported.

Inside there will be another 15 pictures, some showing thecouple in water, as they relaxed on North Island in theIndian Ocean.

The headline on the front 'Our island paradise' wronglyappears to suggest the couple approved the publication.

In the main photo Kate's bronzed, taut stomach is clearlyon display in a tiny black halter-neck bikini with golddetail, while search-and-rescue pilot William is seen in abright pair of board shorts.

The unknown photographer, who appears to have used a longlens, seems to have escaped the eagle eye of the coastguardwho reportedly patrolled the beach to protect the couple'sprivacy.

Prince William, 30, and Kate Middleton, 30, married onApril 29 last year.

The Duke and Duchess are said to be 'upset', while royalsources have expressed their 'surprise' about the decision topublish the photographs.

They stressed that the Duke and Duchess's feelings wereas strong today as they had been last year."They feel it is asignificant invasion of a very private, special time," theysaid.

"The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge considered theirhoneymoon to be a very private event after their hugely publicwedding. For this reason they asked the media to respect theirprivacy. That is something they continue to do so," a StJames's Palace spokesman said.

The publication of the honeymoon photos is likely to rilethe Duke of Cambridge especially, as he has been trying toprotect his new wife from press intrusion following the deathof his mother Diana in a Paris car crash in 1997.

It's not the first time an Australian magazine has gotinto trouble with the Royals.

In 2008 there was a 'media blackout' and the Britishmedia officially agreed with St James's Palace not to publishthe fact Prince Harry was serving in Afghanistan.
