In yet another defiant move, the government of Iran has approved the plan to build 10 new uranium enrichment plants.

The government has told its nuclear agency to begin work on five sites and five more will be added over the next couple of months.

The decision comes a couple of days after the UN nuclear watchdog passed a resolution condemning Iran for covering up a uranium enrichment plant.

While India, China and Russia had backed the resolution, the White House said the move was 'yet another serious violation of Iran's nuclear obligations'. And Britain described it as 'a matter of serious concern' and potentially a 'deliberate breach' of UN resolutions.
