Barbie's new style statement: Burkha
NDTV Correspondent, Sunday November 22, 2009, London

In it's 50 years of existence the iconic Barbie has made style statements and adapted to different cultures. But it's now set for a makeover like never before.

Barbie will be wearing a burkha for a charity auction in Sotheby's for Save The Children.

Its makers, Mattel, are backing the exhibition by Italian designer Eliana Lorena. The auction is part of Barbie celebrations for her 50th anniversary this year.
