Dhoni banned for 2 ODIs, Sehwag to captain
NDTV Correspondent, Saturday December 19, 2009, New Delhi

India captain MS Dhoni has been banned for the next two ODIs against Sri Lanka for a slow over-rate during the second match in Nagpur.

The ban means that Dhoni will be unavailable for the Cuttack game on December 21 and the Kolkata game on December 24.

Virendra Sehwag will captain the side during Dhoni's ban.

Match referee JJ Crowe of New Zealand, who took the decision to ban Dhoni, said India was guilty of a slow over-rate during both, the Rajkot and the Nagpur ODIs.

Sehwage could be a good captain for India. He should have given captaincy earlier.
