DU’s first cut-off list out

Delhi University has released it's first cut-off lists and there has been a marginal rise in percentages. And despite the global meltdown B.Com Honours remains the most wanted course on campus. Cut-offs in all colleges for the course remain above 90 per cent.

New quota battle brews in Maharashtra

But the Maharashtra government's decision to reserve 90 per cent junior college seats for the state's SSC board has come as a shock. The move is now being challenged in court.

Delhi University classes to go online

Students failing to get admission in their college of choice in the capital need not lose heart. The Delhi University is now working on a project to provide video-graphed lectures of teachers from several colleges on-line. For the purpose, the DU is setting up a modern studio at its Institute of Life Long Learning (ILL), where lectures of popular teachers and experts of various disciplines will be recorded and put on its portal.

Lesser college seats in Delhi

With over 70,000 students in Delhi getting more than 60 per cent marks in CBSE-XII exams, the seats offered by different colleges in the national capital may not be enough to accommodate them. A total of 71,130 students, including 38,626 girls, scored over 60 per cent in the Delhi region.
