The BJP high command has asked BC Khanduri to step down as Chief Minister of Uttarakhand and he may put in his papers on Tuesday or Wednesday. Party is yet to decide on replacement. Prakash Pant and Ramesh Pokhriyal are frontrunners for Uttarakhand Chief Minister's post. All Uttarakhand BJP MLAs have been called to Delhi to meet and elect new leader on Wednesday.

Jaitley not to attend BJP meet

Munda elected LS Deputy Speaker

BJP's Karia Munda was on Monday unanimously elected as the new Deputy Speaker of Lok Sabha by a voice vote. Leaders cutting across party lines backed the nomination of the seven-term tribal MP from Jharkhand for Deputy Speaker after the Congress-led UPA offered the post to the Opposition as per convention. Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar declared that Munda has been elected Deputy Speaker of the House.

Cong to make changes in AICC

Women’s bill unlikely in Budget session
