Home Minister P Chidambaram has said he would not have let the Services cricket team skip the Ranji trophy match in Srinagar had he known about it.
 
He said the incident was "unfortunate...however we should leave the issue behind," pointing out that "they (the services) have tendered an apology."
 
Chidambaram also said all sporting events should take place in Srinagar.
