Vijayawada MP quits, 5 others may resign

Congress MP from Andhra Pradesh's Vijayawada, Lagadapati Rajagopal, is understood to have resigned in protest against the Centre's decision to bifurcate Andhra Pradesh and form a Telengana state.

Sources said Rajagopal met Speaker Meira Kumar on Thursday morning and is understood to have conveyed his decision to quit from the House. He then left for Hyderabad vowing to fight for unified Andhra.

Andhra Congress sources also said some more MPs from coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema region will resign in protest against the decision.

They also said Congress MPs will meet today and decide their future course of action.

It was very Nasty Decision by UPA. People of AP should be unified and should struggle until UPA withdraws it statement for separate state. They are not separating property, they are separating people with feelings and sentiments. Leaders should atleast realize its our motherland.
