In a fresh case of assault in Australia, two men reported to be Indians, were allegedly attacked and struck with a beer bottle by two juveniles in Sydney on Sunday.

The attack took place in Sydney's CBD early Sunday morning after the men got into an argument that escalated into a fight, New South Wales police said.

The police have not revealed the identity or nationality of the victims.

The two juveniles have been arrested and charged for the assault in which they allegedly struck the two men on the head with a glass beer bottle.

The boys, a 16-year-old from Peakhurst and 17-year-old from Hurstville, were both charged with two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm in company of others, police said.

The victims, both aged 20, were taken to Sydney Hospital where they were treated for bruising and minor lacerations, before being discharged.

They were conditionally bailed to appear in a Children's Court on July 20.

Meanwhile, at the scene of the attack, a number of items were located and seized for forensic examination and the police also spoke to witnesses.

Police said detectives were investigating possible links of the incident to the alleged assault of a 'bouncer' at a nightclub in Goulburn Street on Saturday.

Indians are facing racial attacks in their own country in various states based on their religion, caste, region, language and not to say more about our law makers who justify these things by saying that its public reaction. Then why are we upset with the same public reaction in Australia against Indians? I feel the preaching starts at home. Let the Parliament of India (that believes firmly in Racial division among Indians) pass a law that can punish with heavy penalties on those who discriminate us within the countries I am sure outside world will automatically respect our rights. Currently we dont respect our citizens and expect outsiders to do that job...
