Two Indians in Time's environment list
NDTV Correspondent, Sunday September 27, 2009, New Delhi
As the world grapples with climate change and its leaders find ways to cut greenhouse gas emissions, some of us are already doing their bit to save the environment. The Time magazine has come out with its list of Heroes of the Environment that includes two Indians in it too.

In the Leaders and Visionaries category, documentary maker Mike Pandey has been recognised for his three-decade war to defend India's wildlife and environment through his films such as the Last Migration and Vanishing Giants.

And the other Indian, Bindeshwar Pathak, has been recognised in the Scientists and Innovators category. Pathak founded Sulabh International and designed a twin-pit toilet.
