Actor Shiney Ahuja's judicial custody has been extended till July 2. He was produced in court on Thursday.

Ahuja was arrested on Monday after his domestic help levelled charges of rape. He has been booked for sexual assault and wrongful detention.

Police say the medical examination of the maid corroborates her charges of sexual violation as well as coercion.

Meanwhile, Shiney's wife Anuja continues to maintain that her husband is innocent and is being framed. She has also contested that Shiney has confessed.

Earlier, the police recorded the statement of a crucial witness in the Shiney Ahuja case - the maid who accompanied the alleged victim home from the Ahuja household on Sunday evening.

She is related to the alleged victim and had got her the job. Her statement corroborates what the alleged victim has told the police. It also confirms that the maid and Shiney were alone at home when the alleged crime took place.

On Day 1, that is Sunday, the day he was arrested, the police claimed he admitted to the rape and said "these things keep happening."

On Day 2 (Monday), medical tests on the maid confirmed sexual assault. There were abrasions on her private parts. The police said Shiney claimed it was consensual sex. His wife denied any confession.

Day 3 (Tuesday), police claimed that Shiney told them he made a mistake. But maintained it was consensual sex.

Well, Well - By now most of the people in India think that Shiney is the one who raped the maid. The medical result has confirmed it. But, has there been a test conducted on Shiney to confirm that.. No, unless the cops do that, we cannot confirm it. Why - nobody is doing it. Once the time lapses, the court will blame the cops for not doing it and the case will be thrown out for lack of evidence. Great for our democracy... Bye
