Schools shut down due to swine flu

Swine flu has caused several deaths in the country, and the virus seems to be spreading at a rapid pace.

Several cases of swine flu have come up in schools across major cities, compelling authorities to shut down schools despite the government saying that the step is not needed.

Here's a list of the schools that have shut down due to the fear of the pandemic.

Delhi:

  • Junior Model School
  • Sanskriti School
  • Delhi Public School, East of Kailash

Gurgaon:

  • Shriram School (closed one section of class VIII)

Mumbai:

  • Rims International, Andheri
  • J B Vacha School, Dadar
  • Dhirubhai Ambani School, Bandra Kurla Complex
  • Arya Vidya Mandir, Juhu
  • Utpal Sangvi School, Juhu
  • Cathedral School, Peddar Road
  • St Dominic Savio, Andheri

Meanwhile, all schools in Pune, the worst-hit city that has witnessed five deaths, have been shut down.
