Report goes easy on Narasimha Rao, then PM
NDTV Correspondent, Monday November 23, 2009, New Delhi
The Liberhan Report gives a clean chit to Narasimha Rao who was Prime Minister when Babri Masjid was demolished.

It says, "He ( Narasimha Rao) rightly concluded that neither the central forces could be deployed by the Union in the totality of facts and circumstances then prevailing; nor could President's rule be imposed on the basis of the rumours or media reports. Taking such a step would have created bad precedent for the future, damaging the federal structure of the constitution and would have amounted to interference in the state administration"

Justice Liberhan's report says that the central government, under Narasimha Rao, was "caught daydreaming" and allowed itself to believe the "false promises" of the BJP.

Once again slamming  Kalyan Singh,  who was then the BJP's  chief minister of UP, the report says, "The onus for the campaign of disinformation must rest solely with the State Government who deliberately and consciously understated the risk to the disputed structure and general law and order."

The Congress and our media are the bigger scum of society. Witness the low levels the congress goes to stay in power and how the free media has morphed into a mouthpiece of the congress. The selective leakage has been done to turn the tables on the BJP and avoid any discussions on more pressing matters like Koda scam, Swiss bank accounts case, hyper inflation, quatrocchi, Mumbai bullet proof vest scam etc. The other ulterior motive is to keep the Babri issue burning always and use the selective leaks before election times to polarise votes. The question is, why does'nt the congress use the same machiavellian tools to stump India,s enemies like China, pak , terror groups etc. This is the tragedy of our country. The Congress will not mind tying up with the devil and enemies of India to spite the face of the BJP. This is why I feel that the Congress could be involved in the Kandahar hijack. No wonder, that they have used this episode to their advantage in all recent elections to spite the BJP.

As congress is in power, N Rao has to be innocent in the report as was happened in Boforse and other scams. How can a rulling party show her member as a culprit ?? Track record of Congress shows that they never had a transperancy in any of the cases involving their personnel.
