Priyanka vs Shahid: Fans battle on Twitter for NDTV Indian of the Year Award

It's Priyanka vs Shahid again. Their fans are battling on Twitter over the NDTV's Twitter Indian of the Year 2009 Award.   

Both Priyanka and Shahid are up for the award.

Priyanka, who is very active on Twitter, has lost no time in asking her almost hundred thousand followers to retweet, vote and ensure she wins. She tweeted yesterday : "I'm so excited about that.. Feels so great when awards happen.. It's a sense of encouragement!" (http://twitter.com/priyankachopra)

On Thursday morning, as she raced ahead with retweets and votes, Priyanka tweeted: "NDTV's Twitter Indian of the Year Award:vote at @NDTVIndian. Current leader is @priyankachopra (via @ndtv) Yay! Thanx guys! U all rock!!"

But Shahid had caught up and left her behind by the evening. Though at a little over 10,000 followers on twitter, Shahid has to add both people and retweets at a very fast pace to keep his lead. Shahid fans can help him do this at http://twitter.com/shahidkapoor.

They are definitely not the right role models for the younger generation to aspire for.

I think this time "Indian of the year" award should go to Mr. P. Chidambaram. As the home minister he is working hard to make the country safe & peaceful with his new ideas . That's most important for all the Indians at first. See people came out from 26/11 phobia now. As a home minister he came out with lot of new projects to make the country safe. When we all are going thru a crucial time the safety of life for all and our families is most imporatnt. When our family members reach home safely ...... nothing could be more entertaining to that. Is it not ? Now why Mr. Chidambaram ? Earlier we have seen many home ministers.... they were busy with theirs own styles ( I don't want to name any) . Just you remember them and make a comparison with those formers , Then things will be clear to you. Mr. Mahindra of Tech Mahindra also did a lot taking over Satyam and saved million families from financial distress.He comes next. Thirdly Sachin Tendulkar is our ALL TIME GREAT. Just a Man of the year 2009 is too small for him. He is our man of the decades. Is it not ? What you say ??
