Investigators handling the Pune blast believe that four top leaders of the Indian Mujahideen (IM) may be connected to the attack that killed 9 people and injured 57 others at the city's German Bakery on Saturday. Among those suspects is Mohsin Choudhary, age 35.  

Security agencies in India believe Choudhary is the head of the Pune branch of the IM.  

But in the bylanes of Pune's Mitha Nagar, Mohsin Choudhary was a father with two young children, a man with a flair for cars who ran an old automobiles brokerage firm.

In October 2008, the police arrived at his home and left with his younger brother, Akbar, for alleged involvement with serial blasts in Hyderabad a year earlier.

Mohsin's mother, tells NDTV, ''When Mohsin's brother got arrested, he said he was going to get him released. Since then we have not heard from him. We don't know where he lives. He hasn't even called. Our lives are ruined now that both sons are gone. There is a lot of pain. His children miss him. His wife misses him. If he was planning to go into hiding, he would have definitely told us.''
 
The Maharashtra police says that after the Pune blast, it is keener than ever to trace Choudhary.  Sources also say that Mohsin's brother, Akbar, has told the police about Mohsin's role as a key member of the IM. The police believes that Mohsin helped set up the IM's Pune branch in 2005, and that he went on to head the unit.

Impossible, says Mohsin's young wife. ''If he is guilty punish him, but don't say anything against him, don't show his photos, till guilt is proved.''
