Modi calls critics 'Taliban of public life'
NDTV Correspondent, Monday March 29, 2010, Ahmedabad

After appearing before the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the murder of Congress MLA Ehsaan Jafri in Gulbarg Society during the 2002 Gujarat riots (Read: Riots panel grills Modi for 10 hours), Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi has hit out at his detractors in his blog. Modi calls them 'Talibans of Public Life' for attacking Gujarat. He says:

"A great artist with legendary humility and even taller achievements like Amitabh Bachchan who has chosen to celebrate the glorious heritage of Gujarat while facing a lot of criticisms.

These people, while brandishing Mahatma Gandhi's name are busy creating a new viciousness in the flow of our public life."

"These 'Talibans of Untouchability' have lost all their sensibilities in their pursuit of anti-Gujarat attitudes.

They may even ban the eating of Amul butter and milk and order our young people not to wear denim jeans! And guess why? Because Gujarat produces these things," he adds.

What about Mumbai riots in 1993..Sikh massacre in 1984....Continuing Hindu genocide inJ&K..Even western democracies have called it the most number of displaced people inside a country..Congress for doing all this should be thrown onto Mars or something so nobody can share with them anything...
