Accusing the state government of "quietly" renewing land lease to the Tatas, Trinamool Congress has threatened to resume its movement in Singur for return of 400 acres of land forcibly acquired from farmers.

"When we were busy with Lok Sabha elections, the Left Front government quietly renewed lease of the land to the Tatas at Singur. We will resume our agitation for return of the 400 acre after six of our MPS take oath on Tuesday," Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee said in Kolkata.

The state government had renewed the lease in Singur though the Tatas had not announced any plan to resume work, she claimed, adding, "The Tatas also holds unutilised land in Gujarat and Kalinganagar in Orissa".

"It is unacceptable to us that some people will go on increasing their land holding while another section will not have enough to eat," Banerjee, the new Railway minister, said.

Earlier, the Tata's Nano project, planned at Singur, was shifted out of the state following strong protest from the Trinamool Congress.

I totally disagree with Arpan. I think he do have idea about the history of West Bengal. Before the CPI(M) led Left Govt. Came to power West Bengal was one the frontrunner state in Industry. It is the CPI(M) Govt. who had destryed the Industries in West Bengal in their long 32 years of regime. Mamta -ji had protested for Tata's factory just in the last year, then what the CPI ( M ) did in the previous 31 years !!! Industry is not a majic that Tata will make a factory and industry will be on. Continuous effort is required for Industrialization. Perfect example is GUJARAT. The Tata factory game is just to hide the CPI(M ) led Govt's failure to develop industry in their long 32year of regime. It is due to CPI ( M ) led govt. today the young Bengali's are forced to be out of bengal for search of jobs. Industrialization should not require long 32years. If there is good intention it can happen in 3 years time also. Mamata-ji had made several request to the Govt. and Tata to shift the location but it was the CPI(M) led Govt. and Tata who had some other game to play refused that proposal. Hence there must be DAL ME KUCH KALA.
