Jharkhand: Maoists release MLA

The RJD MLA kidnapped by Maoists in Jharkhand has been released, according to the police.

Ram Chandra Singh and a supporter were kidnapped from his constituency Manika as they were returning on a motorcycle after attending a function.

Singh has got a ticket to contest again in the coming Assembly elections.

Jharkhand is one of the worst affected Naxal states which is why polling is being held in five phases for the 81 Assembly seats starting on November 27.

Maoist and naxals are home department indirectly sponsored political offshoot to fill the political vaccum created by gradually failing national and regional political parties in the country.
