India concerned at Chinese incursions
Sudhi Ranjan Sen, Monday August 24, 2009, New Delhi

For quite some time there have been concerns about a more aggressive Chinese posture on the border and now there seem to be a number of border violations. The Indian army is now planning to take it up with China.

There have been repeated border violations by Chinese patrols in north Sikkim's Kongra la area more popularly known as the finger area. There has been about a dozen violations this year, six violations in the last two months as compared to six violations last year.

The Chinese patrols are intruding into Indian territory not only in Sikkim but also in the Western Sector in Ladakh.

India has reported more aggressive patrolling and deeper intrusions into Indian territory.

  • Patrolling violations in Ladakh up and
In Arunachal Pradesh, the Asaphilla area has become a new tension area as compared to five violations in the whole of last year about six violations have already been reported in the last few months
  • Increasing intrusions in Arunachal Pradesh

The real worry that New Delhi believes is lies behind the border. The PLA is apparently testing its military preparedness by rapidly moving over 50,000 troops into Tibet, in an exercise designed to coerce India.

Wake up india. You need to show to the world about who you are. Do not get intimidated by neighbours. Its time for us to intimidate our enemy. Show some posture so that they would not dare to repeat those incursions. Try to do proactive incursion into chinese territory and make the chinese worry about indian incursions.
