IIMs to meet on online CAT hiccups

The IIM directors' forum has called a meeting on Monday to discuss what went wrong with the online CAT system at certain centres over the weekend.

On the third day of the ongoing Combined Admission Test, the seven IIMs called for an urgent meeting of their directors with the CAT Committee and Prometric.

The directors' forum expressed its unhappiness with the way the CAT was being held from the logistics point of view. Meanwhile, CAT exams have been canceled in four labs at the garden city college in Bengaluru.

CAT 09 was perfect for me,no issues .Moreover majority of people had a good day,its only few students who suffered and they are making a mess of it,and Prometric reschduled them aswell.Still if anything is left why cant you reschedule few more slots for them.NO POINT IN SCRAPPING CAT 09IN FULL AS YOU HAVE TO CONSIDER THE CASES WHERE EVRYTHING WAS FINE.ITS A MERE STARTEGY TO GET A GIVE CAT 2ND TIME IN A YEAR TO GET GOOD MARKS .Lets not fall to its prey.

When you give an exam like CAT you expect it to be fair.There is one spectrum of people who seem to be benefitting by getting almost upto an hour of extra time when compared to another person giving the same paper.There is yet another spectrum of guys who not only have less time compared to the lucky ones,but also have to contend with QUESTIONS NOT APPEARING in the test which could lead to loss of valuable marks.How can u call such a test FAIR?
